New Cromwell Stand Now Open

Our new Cromwell Stand, incorporating an exclusive lounge for annual members, owners and trainers is now open. This new stand has enhanced facilities for general visitors, with new steppings providing views across the racecourse for 500 people, a major increase on the previous shallow steps. The official opening ceremony took place on Sunday 1st November with Mr Banks OBE, the past Chairman who did the honour of cutting the ribbon.

The Cromwell Stand, replacement for the old South Stand accommodates a general viewing area, the Weighing Room complex for racing professionals, a media room, corporate facilities, as well as a new bar and lounge for annual members and owners and trainers. On a non-race day The Cromwell Stand provides extensive facilities for conferences, meetings, exhibitions and private party bookings. While the stand has taken a year to be constructed at a cost of £2.75 million, it is an exciting new development for the Cambridgeshire track. Huntingdon Racecourse was helped in the development by a loan of £1.25 million from the Horserace Betting Levy Board.
